They always say Realtors have the best homes. There has never been a home description more difficult for me to write. This home might be the best example of ''pride of ownership, EVER.'' It has been loved by my family for almost a decade. We have done everything to it. The neighbors joked about what project we could possibly be doing now. We did our absolute best to keep all the character and charm this home has to offer in tact, while giving it all the updates that worked for our family. We added an additional 11 windows and a full dormer to this 4 bedroom 2.5 bathroom home. We removed all the vinyl siding (hard to believe someone covered up the original wood siding) restored the original wood siding and replaced what needed to be replaced. We added a driveway and parking pad. We ran all the utilities underground while doing it. Its the only home in the area with underground power lines. The kitchen was the last of the huge projects and it was completed in 2018. Full tear down to the studs. Spray foam was used in the walls and ceiling and even under the flooring in the butlers pantry area. Custom cabinets hand build by Chino Ross of Countryside cabinets. Quartzite countertops, top of the line appliances and flooring brought in from an old home in Tennessee to match the rest of the home as best as possible. All the plumbing in this home has been replaced, including the sewer main all the way to Brown ave. All the electrical has been replace, even upgrading service to 400 amp. Garage is on its own meter (also underground power lines) and has a hook up for a 50amp RV plug pin the driveway. The roof (which has a lifetime shingle and copper drip edge), all 3 HVAC's porch roofs, garage doors, garage door openers have all been replaced in the last few years. Some of these items were replace in 2020 and 2021. All the floors have been stripped and refinished. All paint removed for all the interior doors and door hardware, all paint from steps and handrails. Every window has been replaced (except for 1 original window at bottom of the steps) and most are triple pane windows. Entire front porch was rebuilt using as many original pieces as possible, including returning the roof of the porch to pure copper. That is a hand made copper roof, with custom copper box gutters and downspouts. The only way to really appreciate all that has been done to this house is to see it in person. We can only hope that this home will bring you as much happiness and joy as it did for us.
